Shadow Watching

9am
We noticed that the sun was just above the tall trees in the playground and above Room 10.  Our shadows are our long and skinny.

Our predictions about why our shadows are long:

Hannah - When the sun is out, it is going down on the person standing and the shadow stretches straight past the person

Ruben – The sun is closer so it makes you longer

Milly – The sun is so high and I think that when it is high, it makes your shadow longer.

Mason – The sun is higher and you are lower which makes it spread more.

Ben – When the sun is out it makes the shadow longer and darker.

Zane – When the clouds have moved away from the sun, it makes the sun make bigger shadows.

Whatever the Weather?

Did you hear about our weather experiments in Week 1?

This term we are learning about regular events that affect Planet Earth and how small things connect to make bigger things.

We have become meteorologists and will continue to study the weather and how it is measured over the coming weeks.

What type of clouds do you think these are?

What about these clouds?

Animal Planet is about helping the Environment. I love School because I get to know lots of people, they can be my friends. And I like Maths.
